This year, INFO MOTO took part in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride aboard the new 2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber, raising money for men’s health, catching up with like-minded (and very well dressed) riders and checking out some awesome classic and modern-retro motorcycles. See the video here:
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber 2021 is priced from $21,890 rideaway, using the same 57kW/106Nm 1200cc engine as the Speedmaster, but features its own ‘stripped-back’ styling and exterior details.
New for the Bobber in 2021 is a new 16-inch ‘fat’ front wheel, ‘chunkier’ forks, and a larger 12-litre fuel tank which is said to provide 33 per cent more range compared to its predecessor.
What is the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride?
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride unites classic and vintage style motorcycle riders all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives.
Kicking off for its inaugural running in 2012 in 64 cities across the globe and attracting 3000 riders, the steady increase in interest and participation saw the 2021 event attract a whopping 64,817 riders, across 850 cities from 105 countries, and importantly, four million dollars raised for men’s mental health and the treatment of prostate cancer. Considering the worldwide challenge that Covid-19 has placed on global outdoor events, this was especially noteworthy.
