The strongest power-to-weight ratio of all time.

Ducati’s new Superleggera V4 is also the most technologically advanced production unit Ducati has ever constructed.

Production will be limited to just 500 individually numbered motorcycles, pushing exclusivity and likely future collectability.

The Superleggera delivers no less than 164.75kW in road-legal configuration (EU homologation figures).

Beneath the carbon skin is a Desmosedici Stradale R 998cc V4 engine, 2.8 kg lighter than the 1103cc V4.

Carbon fibre, titanium and magnesium componentry help the bike register a dry weight of just 159kg (1kg less than the Panigale V4), resulting in a record-breaking power-to-weight ratio of 1.41 hp/kg: the highest ever figure recorded by a road-legal sports bike.

With the supplied Race Kit fitted in its entirety and the bike track configured, power ups to to 172kw, and weight is trimmed to 152.2kg. Amazingly, this raises the power-to-weight ratio even further to 1.54 hp/kg.

Purchasers of the Superleggera V4 will also be offered a track test on the factory Panigale V4R which competes in the Superbike World Championship and, for the first time ever, a unique opportunity to test the Desmosedici GP20 used by GP stars Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci, under the eagle eye of Ducati Corse technicians.

Price is expected to land around $A150,000 mark.
