Husqvarna has confirmed that its new Vitpilen 801 revealed this month will hit Australian showrooms in January, with pricing to be confirmed closer to this date.
The new middleweight naked sportsbike draws power from a familiar 799cc parallel-twin engine, generating 78kW and 87Nm.

Notably, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 comes standard with a six-speed IMU for cornering ABS and traction control, with four rider modes: Street, Sport, Rain and Dynamic. The Dynamic mode also includes a new ‘Supermoto’ function to reduce cornering ABS intervention. The advanced rider assistance suite can be controlled via a 5.0-inch TFT dash.

The bike rides on WP Apex suspension (140mm front, 150mm rear travel), and is fitted with 17-inch cast wheels shod in Michelin Road 6 tyres.
Braking is handled by a J/Juan brake system, and an up/down quickshifter can be fitted as an option.
