A leaked planning document suggests that Indian Motorcycles will release an adventure bike for the 2021 model year.
The Adventure is listed under the project name ‘Apollo’, and appears to be based on the FTR 1200 platform.
If this is true, the bike will use a 1203cc V-twin engine producing around 89kW and 115Nm.
Those figures are comparable to the upcoming Harley-Davidson Pan America adventure bike, which is expected to spit out 108kW and 122Nm from its 1250cc donk.

Overseas publication ADV Pulse, which published the leaked document this week, speculates that the Indian Adventure will require a unique chassis to compete with the likes of the Pan America, and segment-leading models like the BMW R 1250 GS.
Indian should have the resources to develop a strong off-road platform by calling on its parent company, Polaris Industries.
Polaris is dominant in the world of off-road performance vehicles, in a range of markets including snowmobiles, ATVs and side-by-sides.
