MV Agusta has revealed two new adventure bike prototype models, the mid-sized Lucky Explorer 5.5 and the larger-capacity Lucky Explorer 9.5.
The two concept bikes revealed tonight at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan preview future production models, signalling the Italian bikemaker’s push into the adventure segment.
Both bikes feature styling reminiscent of classic Cagiva Dakar racers, with the 5.5 powered by a 550cc parallel twin engine, and the 9.5 using a new 930cc triple-cylinder engine.
Based on the prototypes, the MV Agusta 5.5 should meet LAMS restrictions in Australia, while the larger 9.5 should be positioned to compete with the likes of the Honda Africa Twin.
More to come.
