Royal Enfield has announced introductory pricing for its Shotgun 650, which is now available to pre-order, with initial shipments expected to arrive in May.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is priced from $11,590 rideaway in base Sheet Metal Grey colours, with Plasma Blue ($11,790), Green Drill ($11,790) and Stencil White ($11,990) positioned at a slight premium.

As these are quoted as ‘introductory prices’, it is possible that pricing will change in due course.

The Shotgun 650 is the fourth member of Royal Enfield’s ‘650 Twins’ line-up, joining the Interceptor 650 ($10,990), Continental GT 650 ($11,390) and Super Meteor 650 ($11,990).

The newest member borrows much from the Super Meteor 650 cruiser, albeit with stripped back styling, a sportier ‘bobber’ style riding position and dimensional changes throughout.

It is motivated by the same 648cc parallel-twin engine as powers the entire range, which generates 35kW and 52Nm, and is mated to a conventional six-speed transmission.

As a LAMS offering, the bike should be approachable thanks to its 795mm seat height, though its weight may prove a sticking point at 240kg (wet).

Key benefits to the Shotgun 650 over other models in the range include Showa upside-down forks and LED lighting

Earlier this year, INFO MOTO travelled to Los Angeles to test the Shotgun 650. Watch our review video below.
