Yamaha’s highly popular midsized naked bike, the MT-07, which has undergone significant performance and technological improvements, will hit Australian showrooms in December priced from $14,899 rideaway in both LAMS and full-power configurations.
The 2025 Yamaha MT-07 is distinguished by a refreshed-yet-familiar look, with new bodywork and a completely redesigned LED headlight signature.

While the parallel twin engine (690cc full-power, 655cc LAMS) carries over, it is now backed up by a ride-by-wire system to offer various customisable rider modes which can be accessed via a new 5.0-inch TFT dash.
The riding position has also been revised, now sportier, with the handlebars 18mm wider, 22mm lower and 9.3mm further back. Meanwhile, the footpegs are 10mm lower in an effort to increase legroom.
Also new is upside down forks, for the first time, combined with a new chassis and die-cast triple clamp, while the rear shock absorber and linkage have too been optimised. Brakes are improved thanks to the inclusion of dual four-piston radially mounted calipers.
Despite new inclusions, the 2025 MT-07 is one kilogram lighter than its predecessor at 183kg (wet).

An assist and slipper clutch is now fitted, however, an up/down quickshifter is available only as an optional extra.
Yamaha promises an enhanced soundtrack from its venerable CP2 engine thanks to changes to the intake system, while new wheels and tyres and upgraded switchgear round out the major changes.
