For 2022, Harley-Davidson has announced a number of changes across its existing line-up, with key models gaining the company’s largest Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine to boost power, and new ST variants to add touring comforts like a windscreen and panniers.
The 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, Road Glide and Low Rider models now come standard with a 1917cc V-twin engine that generates 167Nm of torque, which translates to a 6Nm boost compared to the outgoing 1868cc unit.

The aforementioned models are now also available in new ‘ST’ variants (T for touring), which get a unique riding position with taller suspension, a large screen for wind protection and high-mounted hard pannier bags, among other changes.
An array of new colourways and exterior details have also been revealed across the 2022 Harley-Davidson line-up, including for its top-end CVO models which see unique hand-painted design elements.
2022 Harley-Davidson models, including the new ST variants, are expected to arrive in local showrooms in late March.

Harley-Davidson quickshifter?
While it has yet to be confirmed for the Australian market, Harley’s US consumer site now lists a quickshifter accessory ($US299.95) for its Pan America 1250 adventure bike, a feature that was notably missed at launch.
This means that the new Sportster S may also receive the performance boosting modification as it shares a version of the Pan America’s 1250cc Revolution Max V-twin engine.
