KTM has revealed that it will launch its new 390 Adventure lightweight adventure bike in a new high-spec ‘R’ variant alongside a softer ‘X’ grade, when the new bikes arrive in Australian showrooms from July.

The KTM 390 Adventure R is the most off-road focussed in the two-bike range, with a rally-inspired design, a completely new chassis, long-travel suspension and 21-inch (front) and 18-inch (rear) wire-spoked wheels shod in dual-sport tyres.

Meanwhile, the KTM 390 Adventure X is billed as a more approachable alternative with a lower seat height, cast wheels and simpler LCD dashboard.

Both bikes are motivated by a familiar 399cc single engine.

Pricing for the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure range will be revealed in the coming months.
