Triumph Motorcycles has revealed its updated Speed Triple 1200 RS hypernaked, which gains performance boosting upgrades including an improved electronics suite, with the bike set to go on sale locally in April with a pricetag of $31,490 rideaway.

For 2025, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is treated to a healthy upgrade with semi-active Ohlins suspension, more comprehensive rider aids and an increase in both power and torque.

The 1160cc triple-cylinder engine now generates 134kW and 128Nm, which translates to a 2.2kW power boost and a 3Nm jump in torque. Notably, peek torque also arrives slightly lower in the rev range.

The bike now rides on Ohlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension, which makes faster adjustments to damping characteristics.

“Whether riding in a straight line, braking for a corner, balancing the bike mid corner, or accelerating out of a corner, it adjusts the damping characteristics to give the desired performance in each scenario,” explains Triumph.

This package is also bolstered by an adjustable steering damper, Brembo Stylema calipers with an MCS lever and sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres as standard.

The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS will be available in three colours, Granite, Diablo Red and Performance Yellow, when it hits Australian showrooms in April.

INFO MOTO understands that the Speed Triple 1200 RS’s higher-spec bikini-faired sibling, the 1200 RR, has been discontinued for the foreseeable future.
