Aprilia revealed a limited-edition RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute on Friday to mark its long run of success at the Victorian circuit, ahead of a final MotoGP weekend that ended with Sunday’s Grand Prix cancelled due to poor weather.
The RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute features a livery designed exclusively for the model, along with a passenger seat cover fitted as standard. The side panels carry the circuit’s logo, formed by the track layout, above the words “Phillip Island Circuit” and a chequered flag.

The white base colour is paired with green on the sides and tail section and red wheel rims, mirroring the colours of the circuit’s logo. A badge on the fuel tank displays the number of victories Aprilia has achieved at Phillip Island, while each bike’s serial number appears on the steering head plate.
Aprilia Racing has recorded ten victories at Phillip Island across the various MotoGP World Championship classes, along with further wins in the Superbike World Championship with the RSV4. Raul Fernandez’s 2025 MotoGP win at the circuit aboard the Trackhouse RS-GP gave Aprilia its 300th victory in the World Motorcycle Championship, making it the most successful European manufacturer in the history of the series.

Mechanically, the Tribute is unchanged from the standard RS 660. Its 660cc parallel-twin engine produces 78kW (105hp) and 70Nm.
Electronics include Aprilia’s aPRC suite with traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, cornering ABS and adjustable engine maps through the ride-by-wire throttle, all managed by a six-axis inertial platform. Launch control, an up/down quickshifter and cruise control are also standard.
The Tribute edition was unveiled on the opening day of the last Australian Grand Prix weekend at Phillip Island. Sunday’s MotoGP race was cancelled due to heavy rain and poor visibility, which prevented the medical helicopter from operating. The Moto2 and Moto3 races were also cancelled.

Organisers abandoned the Grand Prix at 3.35pm AEDT after hours of delays, while the MotoGP warm-up and a Legends Lap featuring Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, Casey Stoner and Kevin Schwantz were also called off. In place of the race, the MotoGP riders completed two parade laps behind the safety car before stopping on the main straight to greet fans.
The result leaves Saturday’s Sprint, won by Marc Marquez, as the final MotoGP race held at Phillip Island. Marquez leaves the round on 365 points, 10 clear of Aprilia’s Jorge Martin on 355, with Marco Bezzecchi third on 315. Martin had been ruled unfit for Sunday after fracturing his right forearm in a crash while battling Marquez for the lead in the Sprint.
Organisers have confirmed full refunds for Sunday ticketholders and partial refunds for multi-day ticketholders. From 2027, the Australian Grand Prix moves to a street circuit in Adelaide. The championship continues in Malaysia this weekend, followed by Qatar, Portugal and Valencia.
