CFMOTO has today revealed that its all-new 800MT-X middleweight adventure bike will hit Australian showrooms in February with an introductory price of $14,990 rideaway.

The CFMOTO 800MT-X is positioned as an off-road-focussed midsized adventure bike with its rally-style design, long-travel suspension, 21-inch front wheel and one-piece seat.

The bike is motivated by a familiar KTM-derived 799cc parallel-twin engine, generating 70kW and 87Nm. This translates to a 10Nm boost in torque compared to the platform-sharing 800MT stablemate.

A strong electronics suits sees a six-axis IMU to offer lean-angle-sensitive ABS and traction control, while the bike is also equipped with an up/down quickshifter, tyre-pressure monitoring, a power-assisted slipper clutch and a 7-inch portrait TFT dash.

The suspension package sees 48mm upside-down forks and a rear monoshock providing 230mm of travel at both ends.

Also bolstering its off-road credentials are 21- and 18-inch wire-spoked wheels wrapped in block-pattern dual-sport tyres.

The bike tips the scales at 220 kilograms with the 22.5-litre fuel tank filled.
