Harley-Davidson has this week teased the upcoming reveal of its new CVO Street Glide and Road Glide which will debut an all-new 121ci (roughly 1982cc) engine with variable valve timing.
The significant increase in capacity from the brand’s current 117ci unit, and the inclusion of variable valve timing and other internal engine upgrades, may put Harley’s Touring models in closer competition with Indian Motorcycle’s equivalent Challenger range.
Harley’s new engine will first appear in the brand’s high-end Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) versions of its 2023 Street Glide and Road Glide, which are set to be revealed on June 7.
At time of writing, Harley has confirmed that the new models will debut new styling, all-new suspension, a new infotainment system and will be offered in two paint finishes.
The 2023 Street Glide is distinguished by its ‘batwing’ fairing which has been reworked to incorporate a new headlight design.
Meamwhile, the 2023 Road Glide’s ‘sharknose’ fairing has also been redesigned with a new lighting signature.
More to come.
