Honda Australia Motorcycle has confirmed that the all-new CBR600RR sportsbike, which was teased in a video overnight, will hit local showrooms following its full reveal on August 21.
“I can confirm that this model is indeed coming to Australia and we are eagerly awaiting it’s arrival,” Honda Australia Motorcycle brand manager Nicole Tyquin told INFO MOTO.
“The information you have seen to date is just a small teaser of what’s to come. We are still waiting for all the details which are due to be released on the 21st of August, in line with the official release in Japan.”
INFO MOTO reported rumours of the CBR600RR’s return earlier this year, however, the new teaser video from Honda’s Japanese wing confirms important new details.
The video reveals new styling, borrowing heavily from its CBR1000RR-R sibling with sharp LED headlights and aerodynamic winglets, as well as key features like an under-tail exhaust system and a full TFT instrument display.
We also expect significant performance upgrades, like uprated suspension and a stronger braking system.
More to come.
