Suzuki will return to the 250-class segment in November with the release of two new models, the Gixxer 250 naked bike and its fully faired Gixxer SF 250 sibling.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 will check in from $6490 rideaway, while the Gixxer SF 250 will come at a $300 premium with a pricetag of $6790.
Both models are built on the same 249cc platform which debuted earlier this year with the V-Strom 250SX adventure bike.
The single-cylinder engine generates 20kW and 22Nm, while the bike tips the scales at a healthy 156 kilograms (wet), or 161kg for the faired version.
Notable specs include a 300mm front brake disc, 41mm forks and an approachable 800mm seat height.
Both models are available in Matt Blue and Matt Black colour schemes and will come with a three-year warranty as is standard across the Suzuki range.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 range should be best positioned to compete with the CFMOTO 300NK naked bike ($5490) and the 300SR sportsbike ($5790).
