Triumph Motorcycles has confirmed that its all-new Speed Triple 1200 RS will break cover on January 26, debuting a warmer engine and sharper design language.

A short teaser video published today appears to show that the new streetfighter has adopted the aggressive LED lighting signature and angular styling as previewed by its smaller Street Triple RS sibling.

Details are scarce, however, the ‘1200’ moniker suggests that the 2021 Speed Triple will feature a larger-displacement three-cylinder motor compared to the current model.

In a short statement, Triumph indicated that the new Speed Triple will boast significant advancements.

“All-new in every dimension the Speed Triple 1200 RS will deliver an absolute revolution in terms of Speed Triple power, performance, handling and technology, for the ultimate performance naked sports ride.”

The outgoing Speed Triple RS, which is priced from $25,290 rideaway locally, is motivated by a 110kW/117Nm 1050cc triple.

As Triumph’s flagship streetfighter, the Speed Triple boasts high-end features like standard Ohlins suspension, large Brembo brakes, a comprehensive technology suite, and lightweight carbon-fibre components.

INFO MOTO will provide full specification details for the new Speed Triple 1200 RS, following the bike’s global reveal later this month.
