Zero Motorcycles has this week released two up-spec variants for its S naked bike and DS dual-sport line-ups, dubbed Charge PLUS+ and Power PLUS+, priced in all cases from $17,990 rideaway.
At this price, the new variants come at an approximately $2000 premium compared to the base S and DS models, but come with a number of upgrades.
The new S Charge PLUS+ and Power PLUS+ offers customers the choice of either a 6kW charge tank for faster charging and public charging capabilities, or a power tank with an additional 3.6kW to extend the bike’s riding range. Also fitted as standard is a luggage rack with a Shad 29-litre top box and a Zero-branded phone holder.
The new DS variants carry the same upgrades although they also bring BarkBuster handguards and a factory headlight cover. All versions gain unique badging.

The base Zero S is fitted with a 7.2kWh battery which the electric bikemaker claims to offer a city riding range of 142km, with a top speed rating of 144km/h. Motivating the bike is a Z-Force 75-5 motor delivering 34kW and 106Nm.
Meanwhile, the DS dual-sport model in standard trim is motivated by the same power unit however it offers a slightly weaker 132km of city riding range, though it will hit a top speed of 158km.

“We are thrilled to introduce the S PLUS+ and DS PLUS+ bikes to our growing range of electric motorcycles,” said GM at Zero Motorcycles Australia Chris Walton.
“These enhancements reflect our commitment to providing riders with cutting-edge technology and exceptional performance while addressing their evolving needs.”

As previously reported, Zero Motorcycles re-entered the Australian market last year via its new partners Peter Stevens Motorcycles.
Zero Motorcycles’ range includes its dual-sport DSR/X, DSR, DS and FX, as well as road bike models SR/S, SR/F, SR, S and FXE.
