KTM Australia has issued a recall notice for its 2019/2020 KTM 790 Adventure and Adventure R.
Owners should to call into an authorised dealer to check and replace the rear brake.
KTM says that due to material nonconformity in the brake line, the rear brake system may fail under extreme conditions. Therefore, KTM is ordering the replacement of the brake line that leads from the rear brake caliper to the ABS modulator.
Customers will be informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized KTM dealer to arrange an appointment. In addition, customers can check online in the ‘Service’ area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.
The revision of the rear wheel brake takes approximately 85 minutes and can only be carried out by an authorized KTM dealer. The check and repair work is conducted free-of-charge.
