Earlier this month, Royal Enfield unleashed its new Guerrilla 450 roadster to an international audience in Barcelona, ahead of its local release this September. We made the long journey to see what all the fuss is about. Watch our video review below.
The Guerrilla 450 is the second model to be built on Royal Enfield’s ‘Sherpa’ platform, underpinned by a liquid-cooled 452cc single-cylinder engine generating 29kW and 40Nm as well as ride-by-wire and a six-speed transmission.
The Guerrilla 450 roadster was built alongside the Himalayan 450 adventure bike, and while it is motivated by the same engine, it promises a distinctly different riding experience that is purely focussed on the road.

While pricing has yet to be locked in, INFO MOTO expects the Guerrilla to be priced similarly to its Himalayan stablemate as well as its Triumph Speed 400 rival, both of which are currently sold from $8990 rideaway.
Distinguishing the Guerrilla are 17-inch cast wheels, an 11-litre fuel tank, a stepped bench seat and ‘right-side-up’ forks offering 140mm of travel at the front end.

Like the Himalayan, the Guerrilla features a TFT dash, LED lighting and a ‘Tripper’ navigation system.
Royal Enfield is planning to release at least one new model per quarter over the next two years, which is expected to include another model built on the Sherpa 450 platform. Rumours also point to a 650 Scrambler model known as The Bear, as well as a production version of the recently revealed HIM-E electric adventure bike.
